Not sure where to put the pictures, so I'm just posting them here. But if they should go elsewhere, please feel free to move them! (Of course, lol) Cheech, who is going to be 19 in August. He lived his entire life in a 55 gallon and was abused and hit in the head quite a few times: Nadia, who I really should do her own thread for: Bentley, who used to be terrified of us when he came: Chipotle, who was merely afraid of us: The boys have put on 113 and 75 grams respectively since their arrival June 29 (they were being starved) and they have settled in well. Here they are begging for another treat that Ilka sent: Cheeko, who was almost eaten by a cat, and THEN was almost turned loose outside because his owner was tired of her 6 chins: Esther (L) and Naomi, who were "significantly malnourished" and "moderately malnourished" (according to our vet) when they arrived via transfer in September 2008. Here they are chewing Lucky's Logs: Eva, who had pneumonia at least 2 times by the time she was 2 1/2 because no one had her damaged eye properly removed. She is healthy now, since we had her eye and tear ducts removed 2 years ago this month: L-R Gwyn, Princess (in house), Adara all enjoying Lucky's Logs. They came one year ago on March 17! Gwyn spent 3 days in the Animal Hospital because she was starved almost to death. All three girls have gained weight nicely, though they do still have occasional seizures. Gwyn had Adara and Princess (and Zaki) all before she was a year old: K, I'll continue this. Don't want to lose this post. lol

Lilith, who was sent to us while her sister was kept (the "violet" chin that was actually beige). She has chronically wet eyes, and she is scheduled for xrays later this month. She is a total sweet heart, and if she is healthy, she will be paired with Lexi and will be adopted by Nick: Muffin chewing a Lucky's Logs. Muffin has seizures in clusters, due to poor nutrition (never in my life would I think that would happen in America, but you should have seen what she was being fed). She is the girl who went into shock at being surrendered, and would not eat or drink on her own for 5 days: Poodah, who is just a titchy chin, real antsy but a total darling boy. He was in a home that let the cats have at the chins (aka attack) and he was also threatened with being turned loose outside in the dead of winter (with Cheeko and Eva) because his owner was sick of them: Poppy, who came to us because of malo. She's been on the diet since she came, and her teeth inside her mouth are beautiful, but her roots are overgrown moderately. There is minor evidence of reversal in her last xrays. She goes in in 6 weeks for another set of xrays to check her roots, and we will be able to say for sure then whether this diet is helping. Poppy was facing tooth pulling and regular monthly filing when she arrived, so I think that the state of her teeth is excellent news. : March 5: Feb 2: Poppy a week after she arrived (you can see her drool mark and her wet eyes): Rhody, who has malo (needed tooth filing every 6-8 weeks). He has blue eyes and red pupils, I can't get a good picture, but it is the weirdest thing to see! He is so sweet, he'd make an excellent pet if it weren't for his malo: K, well I have to get more recent and good pictures of the rest of the chins. lol They all have this knack for moving just as I'm snapping the picture, you know how that is. lol

I want them all! Sadly, I can't take them, but they're all lovely. I cant believe there is anyone heartless enough to abuse these animals. Obviously, you've done great work Well done.
