I came home tonight at 9pm only to have a stray cat follow me into my apartment, I don't want to just toss the poor thing back outside but my boyfriend is allergic to cats and I can't keep him. Is there anyone in the Orlando UFC area who would be willing to take this little guy? Otherwise I'll have to take him to the pound tomorrow afternoon before work at 11. someone please help he's a total lover boy! Message me if you're interested and I'll give you my cell number and arrange for him to be picked up. Thank you to whoever can help

April... maybe Crysta can help ( spoiled rotten chinchilla rescue)
but I must say my greatest animal friends have been the ones that "just show up"
I would put up some posters ... lots of folks see a cat that is roaming and think its a stray...could be a neighbors. The last thing I would do..with an animal who has been successful living outside is call the pound. After working at the humane society here in Utah and learning how they euthanize so many animals ( over a million a year) ...I would just let the cat outside
If you feel a connection but cant keep him put some food and some water outside of your house for him your caring can go a long long way
nice to see you on the forum Jamie

I would not bring him to the pound either. He could belong to someone and just happen to follow you inside. If he is in good conditon, there is a chance he is not a stray. As much as I hate to see a cat roaming outside, I would put him out where you found him. He may do just fine and find his way home. Put up signs as Jamie mentioned is a good idea.
