Not sure if this was brought on by stress are family history.I think they have not fed the chins in a long time, As soon as i put down food the dish's are cleaned out.I think more of the fur chewing is there hunger. And yes tman4500 I run and operate a chinchilla rescue in central Pa

Poor babies!!! They look so young!! Do you know how old they are? Maybe I'm wrong caus ethey just look so tiny! I hope they will recover fast with a good home and enough good, healthy food! ~ Ilka ~

Oh poor chins! I'm so glad you saved them! They look like they weren't fed properly, and they will chew their fur if they haven't got enough to eat. Jeez. I wish I could reach through the computer and snuggle them up.

Aww poor little babies. Even though they are fur chewers, they still look tiny! Hopefully when the vet checks them out, they'll get a clean bill of health and in time with stop the chewing. But even if they don't, I know that some chins can be totally healthy but as they chew fur they look unhealthy, so don't worry too much if they keep chewing, as long as they are otherwise healthy - which they don't seem like they were before they came to you

Hello every one, Yesterday i was to busy to write what the vet said 3 have a most of all clean bell of health other then the fur chewing.The mosiac is just not eating what he should every thing seems normal the vet says so im hand feeding untill he gets his strenght back.
