I always have a hard time weaning, taking away from mom's I find girls in Large colonies notice less that the babies are gone. At least he relinquished them he sounds like the type that shouldn't be breeding

Crysta
I was around when you posted this yesterday...doing the usual making music for TV etc
I decided to watch this after I came home from teaching school today.
I read all the posts and left the video(s) for just now.
I hate to be the emotional softy... but I just spent 20 minutes crying. These videos , the story, the everything just did things to me that are so heavy....so meaningful.
I took on the role of chinchilla advocate some 6-7 years ago when I made the first video with Lucky ... cause no one would watch a horrific video Peta made of chinchillas being pelted.
I saw it and tried to get people to see it...they wouldnt
I went to work as you all know ...singing a love song with Lucky in a duet on the very new youtube
people began to write... oh..chinchillas they're so cute chinchillas....I will never wear fur again
and it all started
and years after bulletin boards, CNH and then Wonder of Chinchillas ...we now have Luckys Place
and I have YOU as a friend and I can proudly stand here and say
see that video ....thats love and thats Crysta and her rescue that made it possible that YOU are indeed an angel
and to you and the members and the other amazing rescuers who grace this little forum I started ... so people could have fun, and learn about these animals that are misunderstood
I say thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you thank you
I commented at the video's youtube site, favorited it etc
love Jamie

Here are some pictures before my camera decided to oh so rudely die on me. Babies sharing the hammock. babies sharing the shelf. Mom & baby cuddles. I didn't notice until after I looked at the pictures that they were able to reach that window sill. The cage is a good 2 inches from it. Apparently I underestimated the reach of a baby nose. It's now further away.

wonderful pics Crysta
and as far as the window sill at my house the question that is asked is "what window sill" LOL
they have made my window sill into the logo for Lucky Logs ha ha
Maybe we should put organic window sills out there for sale in our chinchilla supply shops.

Thank goodness you were able to get the pictures out after it died <3
I'm contemplating velcro-ing fleece to my window sill to discourage eating the sill, but, knowing my girls, they'll rip that industrial-strength velcro right apart.... =?

I have tears of joy in my eyes and while I liked the music I would have loved to have heard all their squeaks and cheeps.
My heart is busting I'm so happy to see them all together like that again. Nothing makes me laugh like a popcorning chinnie!

I missed out on all the squeaks and cheeps. I didn't think to make a video when I introduced them all back together. They were together for almost a full day before I made the dusting and introduction videos.

They look soooo happy. I tear up whenever I see or even think of happily paired/tripled/quadrupled/etc... and, especially, reunited chinnies! It's all the more wonderful that they're family. I hope these wonderful girls can find a good home together or with other nice chinnies <3

This was tonights dusting session.
This was the popcorning fun they had afterward. Sorry for this video being so small. I accidentally filmed it on its side so when I rotated it, it made it much thinner.
