Fleece for Furries rates are 20.00 each or 2/35.00 for Ferret Nation liners. Price might be different depending on size.
She did a camo/orange set for me for 2/$30. The size was 23" x 23".

Jamie ~ I believe they are discussing the price of actual custom made liners. (ones that have been sized/sewn for specific cage sizes.)

maybe Im just a cheapo... Hancock fabrics, Joannes , lots of places have enormous fleece choices, anti pill , highest quality I am not getting why anyone is going to a vendor who is marking up fleece 50 / and 60 percent
with 17 pets here many using fleece, if I actually had fleece that was sown like a pocket over a shelf, it would seem a whole lot tougher than what I do just laying it in and in one case I buy velcro strips for 1. 50 and fold it over
I am all for buying fancy, better, beautiful, hand-made.. I am just trying to get why we are doing that for something that is gonna be peed and pooed on
Fleece for PVC ( to make tunnel hidey areas and hammocks I completely understand.. I wouldnt know a thing about making those
but as flooring this is why I am asking
thanks so much
hugs jamie

I made my first set of fleece liners over 2 years ago, and they are just beginning to show a little wear and tear. (No expense for me except for the cost of the fleece...) I do agree completely with the cost of buying them~thats why I decided to find a way to create my own!!! I have tried your method with using the fleece folded; the chins were inside it, it didn't stay spread out nice on the cage bottoms...AND...(LOL) there was poop EVERYWHERE by the time I got to the door to shake it out. For myself, I prefer having 2 layers of it, with a layer of 'towel' inside for absorbency...they fit perfectly in all of my cages. I make them a few inches bigger, so they come up a little on the sides. I have at least 2 of them for each of my cages, and they all work wonderfully!! I also have made fleece liners for my pvc tubes and sock like covers for water bottles to put in their cages when it gets hot.

I'm going to say looks. I tried the whole just buy fleece, cut the size and lay in cage. Didn't work so well and was as "pretty".
I order custom liners (Solid Color on one side, Print on the other) to make the rest of the cage. I can't sew so I don't try, I'd rather pay someone else to do it. It's more expensive, but I like it. Or like Chase's liners, they are made thicker cause he pees more. haha His liners are a print (John Deere) on the top, towel sewn into the middle, and a solid color on the back.
I guess to me buying fleece that is sewn like that is kind of liking buying fancy designed wood houses, shelves, or overly large expensive hanging toys, etc... it's going to be chewed up but it looks pretty until then even though it's all cheaper if you make it yourself. And yes they can be expensive but you are playing for the product and the time that goes into it. Just like when you buy a wood house... I highly doubt those 4 walls and a roof on a single chin house cost $15+. Paying for the product and the time, however, making it yourself would be much cheaper. Hanging toys are the same way...usually you are paying for each individual piece that goes on it including hardware and the time to make it.

I got 1.5 yards of fleece... cost $10 and made 2 liners & 2 bottle wraps. I also like to be able to theme or just match them up with other stuff in the cages. But if your way is working dont stop. Like they always say.... IF IT AIN'T BROKE THEN DONT TRY TO FIX IT!!! Have a great day!!

Hhmmm.... I've been reading all your posts about fleece liners and want to share something that I believe you will find quite helpful. Place a container in a corner - I use a glass baking dish (rectangular)- 2/3's full of litter and your chin will 'pee' in it without much thought. Sorry, it will continue to 'poop' all over but the urine is the biggest hassle and, no doubt smell. I also have a container OUTSIDE the cage and she has NEVER once 'peed' on the floor...ALWAYS in the litter container. With a rectangle dish she always 'pees' on one end so, in a couple days, I simply turn the dish around and she then goes at the other end. That means I don't need to clean it so often. My fleece is ALWAYS dry! Floor area, too! Just love my girl, CHIMNEY ('cause she bathes in dust like chimney 'soot')...
