There is a chinchilla named Theo in Tampa who is looking for a new home. He is very well taken care of, and all his supplies will come with him. Please see his information below:
"We have a chin that is a little over 1 yr old who we need to rehome because our schedules are making it hard for our boys to continue to spend a reasonable amount of time with Theo, and we feel he will be better off going forward if he is placed with a family who has time to spend with him and let him out of his cage for at least 20-30 min a day.
We think Theo is a boy. He has no known health problems. He is very friendly and curious and loves to be scratched/rubbed under the chin and behind his ears, but he is not fond of being held/restrained. We think he would enjoy being with other chins, but he has never been around any chins since we've had him.
We don't really want to leave him with a shelter, because we don't want him to be rehomed again, so I was wondering if you know of any families who already have at least one chin (or prior owners of chins) who would be interested in being a forever home for Theo. We are wary of giving him to someone who does not have chin experience already, since we want to make sure they know what it takes to take care of and provide a good home for a chin (and are OK with things like the dust baths and their tendency to try to chew wood/carpet/plastic, etc... If not closely supervised.
Anyhow, please let me know if you know of a family/individual who would be good for Theo. We live in Tampa. We would give the family/person Theo's good-size cage, Flying saucer, wood sleep home, etc... "
If you are interested in giving Theo a furever home, please contact me or Kimberly. Kimberly's email address is: Kjacobs@verizon.net
