Hi all
I saw that we had "ads" again for the last 31 hours (sorry) I had to pay for 50,000 pageviews plus the luckysplace.net link was also paid for ( thats a separate monthly charge) so we dont have the typical proboards link.
It's my pleasure to do this and not ask the people who use the board for donations as other boards do.
I stopped the google and facebook ads this month (after paying the 58 dollar charge) because I wasnt sure I was going to actually continue this board. I have had some friction with some members and that made me unhappy to spend so much money and time on this forum.
This place was set up because of a promise to help pets I made to Lucky the chinchilla many years ago. I had to remember what was important and remember that promise to him.
Being an owner of a well known forum, doing radio and TV to promote it.. and then trying to keep almost 900 people satisfied here has become a full time job....a labor of love most of the time.
I hope your experience here is pleasant and that as we grow many pets will benefit from what we learn and experience here
Jamie

I have had some friction lately with members , that made me unhappy to spend so much money and time on this forum. And everyone should respect your wishes. Honestly everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but at the end of the day, they need to keep their opinions to themselves and be reminded of where they are. I do not mean to upset others on what I write. It is just the blatant harsh truth we must accept. This forum has a reason, a goal, a purpose that it decided to take long ago. Now it seems it might have strayed a little. It happens, and it just needs reminder of the original focus. Your doing a great job Jamie. Don't give up.

thank you John before I was a co owner of LWOC , I had many different opinions than the,.then 3 co owners. I was as a member of course allowed to voice my opinion , they were sometimes very strong, even harsh with their responses back to me both in posts and PM's.
I called them names privately, thought they were power hungry, paranoid and lots of other things....
then I became an admin and I knew from my 40 and more years being successful in the music business, my marketing experience , and so on that I had to.. no matter what ...represent them...their goals, their mission, their way of doing things. I didn't like doing that all the time,,, I gave up some of my autonomy , I certainly have my own opinions, that I felt I had to keep squashed.......... but I recognized that the model of success always works that way.
My managers and handlers told me over and over to not do a forum, to not make a public page on facebook, to not reply to youtubers they pointed out over and over that well known people in the media and entertainment business keep inaccessible to the public for many reasons
I of course did everything they told me not to do therefore I have to accept and not complain when I answer 3000 people a year on youtube, when people write me on facebook and ask me for the 100th time about what amplifier I use, and when I am on my board and state my wishes , and have to listen to people that have no financial or public accountability investment here ... and their opinions. The truth is ...I did what my bosses told me not to do give people a voice in my life. I must say many times its been a beautiful thing and I get mail all the time saying that they think its refreshing that they can reach me, talk to me, and tell me what they think.
Its all good and I appreciate YOU alot and thanks for the post.
I also appreciate the cool members we have and the admin who generally help me to make this a special place, different from so much out there!
manly hugs JaMIE
