Today i made a choice that was both hard and good. After i lost my dear Chinchilla Chili last Sunday, i was heartbroken, and i still am. But, i decided to make this an opportunity to rescue a new chinchilla, because i can no longer give my love and caring to Chili, i can give it to some other chin that really needs it. So today i picked up little snapper, and I'm afraid that i was almost to late to pick him up before he would die of bad cage and caring. When i picked him up he was sitting in a really small bird cage, with a plastic bowl, the bowl had hamster food in it, and in the middle of the cage there was a big plastic bowl with some sand filled with poop, and the "Ground" of the cage was ribs like steel poles and the only firm ground he could stand on was a vitamin block in the corner of the cage and his water bottle is soo small and being held up by a pieces of dirty shoelace.. Also there was a tube hanging in the ceiling filled with fur? like sheep fur, so that he could over heat easily. Its horrible to watch, and I'm so happy that i made the decision to save this little guy, hes gonna have a great life now, I know. I will do everything in my power to make the best out of things.

I will post pictures once Snapper is comfortable, i dont wanna stress him anymore than necesarry. So far i have cleaned the entire cage from plastic, poop and pee, I also gave him a firm ground of cardboard, I gave him a proper bowl with new food and hay, and some small treats, I cleaned his tube, and i replaced the shoelace with some safe wire instead (: Hes gonna get a new cage tomorrow, what me and my dad is gonna do is split Dumbo's cage into to, so that Snappers lives downstairs and Dumbo upstairs, and that way they will be close and get to accept each other presents, their sounds and smells. One step closer for them to move in together. Last time i did this was with Dumbo and Chili, and i works as a charm, no problem even though Chili was a raging little fella :b
